LTCDR Twyla Sharp

Vice President

My name is Twyla Sharp. I was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. I lived there until six years ago when I graduated college, moved to Northern Arizona, and joined the TCRHCC team. I started working here on the adult care unit (ACU) as a new graduate, advancing to a lead clinical nurse after two years and joining the PHS at roughly the same time. Two years later I helped out during a transitional period and served as interim ASCN on the floor. At the end of 2014 I made an exciting change and joined the quality division as a utilization review (UR) nurse. Joining the TCRHCC team has become one of the most important moves of my life; it has transformed me in ways I could have never imagined. I look forward to many more years here, serving in this new role as the Grand Canyon COA vice president.

LCDR Paul Chefor

I was hired in TRCHCC in 2013 as a direct hire and after about a year became a CO. I immediately joined the COA local branch to help promote camaraderie and the opportunities to engage in educational activities and community events with fellow officers.

LTCDR (SW) Kirk Shim

Sponsorship Coordinator/ Awards Coordinator

Hello, I’ve been stationed at Tuba City Hospital since 2011 and I have had the opportunity to serve the Navajo Nation and my country at the same time. It is my hope and desire that others seeking the chance to do good to consider this region as a choice of assignments. The people are welcoming and will appreciate your efforts. The work that you will do will be important, satisfying and much needed. Looking forward to meeting you all.
