Laboratory Services
The laboratory provides clinical testing services for the entire hospital and satellite clinics, Dinnebito Clinic and Sacred Peaks Health Center. Phlebotomy Out-patient services are available M-F, 7:00 am - 6:00 pm. Specimen Testing is performed by the lab 24 hours per day, seven (7) days a week. We are a full-service laboratory offering quality, comprehensive clinical laboratory testing to the medical community in Tuba City, Arizona and surrounding areas. Our goal is to maintain excellence in laboratory information and services and to provide you with the best professional assistance in our field.
The laboratory employs more than 24 highly trained professionals, medical technologists, technicians, phlebotomists and support staff. Through automation and data processing advancements, we are able to provide the most sophisticated, quality-oriented services in the area. The Laboratory consists of seven (7) departments, each providing a full range of laboratory testing and services which includes: Transfusion Services, Hematology/Coagulation, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Phlebotomy, Send-Outs, and Microbiology.
There are no scheduled appointments, patients lab tests are ordered by the attending physician during their clinic visit or on a future basis for fasting labs (lab draw only). Patients who are visiting for a lab draw only (with no clinic appointment) will be asked to register at the E.D. registration desk before their blood draw. The clerk will give the patient a slip to indicate that the patient is registered.
